Erotica Fics ~ Part II

My previous review of Erotica fics is our most popular post, with over 6,000 hits. Back then, I couldn't find many well-written ones, but it seems that fandom is opening up a little more. It is hard to find good Hunger Games smut, so it's no wonder the previous post got so many hits. I've decided to give you lovely people what you want - so here's some more smutty, PWP, erotic, NSFW fics for you to enjoy!

If anyone is interested, thgkinkmeme has a lot of filled prompts by anonymous authors in their masterpost comments that might begin to satisfy you.

Erotica recs under the cut because they're oh so naughty.
(But srsly, please be cautious if you are offended or underage or against smut etc, because the excerpts provided are NC-17.)

Got Your Back (Prim/Rory)

Since the brilliant Grow Together has ended, I've been searching high and low for a new multiple chapter fic to sink my teeth into. And look! I've found one!

Title: Got Your Back
Author: karebear
Summary: They learned a lot from big sister and big brother, how to help and how to hurt and how to survive. They step up when the world falls down, the unsung heroes of this war.
Ship: Prim/Rory
Review: Got Your Back is so, so innovative. The rare, minor pairing is portrayed perfectly, and is written in wonderful prose. Karebear really gives life to both characters of Prim and Rory. I really enjoyed this differing view and focus of canon events. A heartbreaker - and it's complete, too!
Excerpt:

Prim's nearly asleep, her head on Rory's lap.

"You can't be comfortable," he murmurs, combing his fingers gently through her hair. She doesn't mind, even though she thinks he's actually making it more tangled up. He shifts just a bit, leaning against the wall, letting it support his weight so that he doesn't notice as much that his legs are feeling a bit numb.

He sounds about as tired as she feels, but she doesn't want to move, to break whatever magic spell lets everybody be happy, just for tonight. "I'm fine," she whispers. "I'm really, really good."
"Me too," Rory tells her. He traces slow circles on her back as the music and quiet conversation lulls her into a state of perfect relaxation. She doesn't think she's ever felt like this before, and certainly not in recent memory.

Happy reading!

Christmas Fanfics

Yuletide Hunger Games fics, folks!

'HG Christmas Card' by Aleatoire09 on dA
(http://aleatoire09.deviantart.com/)

While the egalitarian in me thinks what about all the other people who don't celebrate christmas in place of another religious or cultural tradition this time of year, or don't celebrate anything at all?, I can't deny that Christmas is a dominant trend in a lot of fandoms - including The Hunger Games. If you're looking for some holiday Hunger Games cheer this week, here are a few great chrissy fics to get you in the jolly mood!!

A Very Mellark Christmas by HalfHope
Summary: Peeta and the kids have finally managed to get Katniss to celebrate Christmas. Will she stay a Grinch or embrace the traditions?
Why? Katniss acting like a Grinch is hilarious. This is a very heart-warming future fic!

Christmas In District Twelve by Winterowl312
Summary: I don't even know if Panem celebrated Christmas - it seems unlikely with the starving districts and the oppressive government- but let's pretend they had!
Why? It's a romantic little snapshot in the lives of Katniss and Peeta. And this lovely looks like a first-time writer, so give her some support and reviews!

Christmas Cheers by Medea Smyke
Summary: AU, fluffy little one-shots for the holidays. Part 3 - Madge and Gale try to give one another the perfect gift for Christmas, in "Gift of the Madgepie."
Why? This fic is a classic in terms of holiday-hg-fics. A must read!

Crīstes mæsse by Astoria Potter
Summary: It's Christmas in Panem, and for two people, it's a time for amends and truth. Gale/Johanna, Finnick/Annie, Peeta/Katniss, Haymitch/Maysilee.
Why? It's a well-thought out and wonderful exploration of the post-mockingjay world during Christmas time.

Christmas Behind Closed Doors by Miss Scarlett 05
Summary: Katniss and Peeta try to outwit their children and find some alone time on Christmas Eve.
Why? It's a sweet, in character, not-too-cheesy look at Christmas post-mockingjay.

Happy holidays!

Primrose Post!

Hey fellow tributes! I hope you're having a fabulous week :) Today I'm bringing you a recommendation for fics centred around everyone's favourite little duck, Prim.

Good Primrose Everdeen fics are hard to find - all of these (pffft, all = three) I found on Archive Of Our Own. I think because we aren't given much of Prim's character - or perhaps because she's young - Prim isn't a character than many people base their writings on. However, I've found some wonderful fanfictions that I loved loved loved reading; they are mostly one-shots that expand on what Suzanne gave us and breathe life into Primrose Everdeen.

(Beware: Mockingjay spoilers lie ahead.)

Title: the mechanics of a dream (your future's a machine)
Author: Electrumqueen
Summary: Prim and Rory live their lives, until the revolution comes calling.
(Recommended by Miss Scarlett 05)
Why? The mechanics of a dream (your future's a machine) is a dark, adult, screwed up fic and it totally sucks you in. Not for the faint hearted. It's a great expansion on Prim from the little girl to someone as brave as her sister. The Rory/Prim pairing works really well in this, and Primrose's characterisation is just ramble-worthy in a twisted and gritty AU world. Electrumqueens' writing is superb.

Title: Choosing Fate
Author: Sour-Idealist
Summary: Prim has always had a sense for when to brace herself.
Why? Choosing Fate is a lovely short piece with a real sense of purpose. The final allusion to the events of Mockingjay is very well done, as is the brave and resolute characterisation of Prim. The descriptive language, especially a great simile in the first scene, is beautifully done in such a simple fanfic; "hears the sweetness slipping around the center of it as the T brushes behind her teeth like a kiss."

Title: so my hopes rise and fall
Author: Not Listed
Summary: Primrose Everdeen is strong in her own way.
Why? This is an interesting third-person perspective that favours Prim. This author's attentiveness to the canonical portrayal of Primrose is excellent, as are their observations on Prim and Katniss. Long, compounded sentences really add to the calm, reflective tone of this fic. I think this fic puts up a very good plight for Prim!
